This holiday season, the We Are Fulfilment team went beyond fulfilling orders and embraced the true spirit of giving. While navigating the ever-present peak season bustle, the excitement of Secret Santa, and the merriment of our office Christmas party, we wanted to ensure we didn't overlook the additional pressures many face during the festive period.
Giving Back to Our Community:
Recognising the demand for food help during winter, particularly with colder weather and holiday celebrations, we knew we had to take action. Our phenomenal team (alongside some of our partners) embarked on a month-long initiative, collecting essential goods and tinned food items to donate to the Alfreton House Food Bank, a vital Trussell Trust resource in our community.
Why Alfreton House Food Bank?
We chose to support Alfreton House due to their crucial role in providing emergency food supplies to individuals and families who need additional support in Derbyshire. Winter months naturally see a surge in demand, and with the added pressure of Christmas, families can be hit particularly hard. This is a small way that we could help contribute to our community and lend a helping hand to ensure people could relax and enjoy the end of 2023.
A Collective Effort:
This initiative wouldn't have been possible without the incredible generosity and enthusiasm of our WAF team. Their eagerness to contribute and make a positive impact on the community truly shone through, reflecting the very spirit of our company. Every can, every pack of pasta, every bag of rice represented a commitment to helping those in need, showcasing the collective strength of our team.
